about me
Hi! Thank you so much for taking interest in Resilient Beauty! I am Monique. Anything to do with art and creating completes me. I have been a Hairstylist and Makeup-Artist for 9 years, specializing in Bridal. I have also worked in Fashion, Editorial and Print.
Bridal is by far my favorite and what I am naturally drawn to. Seeing you happy on your wedding day is just as important to you as it is to me, and that's something I take so much pride in.
What I love most about being a Hairstylist and Makeup-Artist is you're never really finished on your journey. You are forever growing and learning to not only improve your craft, but to improve yourself.
Beauty to me comes from within. Beauty is strength. Beauty is resilience. Beauty is never giving up. Beauty is hope, faith, love. I want nothing more than to embody those principles into everything that I do. I look forward to working with you in the future! Xo Monique
What To Expect
Every Bride will have a phone consultation with me where we will discuss all of your details and the vision that you have for your Hair and Makeup for your wedding day. We will schedule our trial after you have found your wedding dress! It is important to have the trial after you have found your dress because you will be more certain of the vibe that you are going for with Hair and Makeup once you find your dream dress!
Trials are typically scheduled 4-6 months prior to your wedding day! Having it closer to the day of ensures that most of your details are in place so you will most likely have a set idea of what you are looking to do! Your trial could be on the day of your engagement photos which I do have many of my Brides do so that you see how your hair and Makeup looks on camera. I of course would change up your look :)
Or it could be on a day where you have absolutely nothing to do but chill at home! :) It is totally up to you! At our trial my goal is to connect with you, to achieve that vision and to make you feel the most beautiful that you have ever felt! I will be there for you every step of the way for any questions or concerns that you may have regarding your Hair and Makeup! I want this process to be stress free and enjoyable for you!

Monique was all of this for me and more!! She is an AMAZINGLY gifted hair and makeup artists, as well as the KINDEST professional I have ever sat down in a chair with. She dealt with my anxious energy the day of, and smiled and calmed me down the whole way through! My hair and makeup did not move the entire night!! My hair actually didn’t move until the next day, because I was too tired to fiddle with the clip ins after the reception. The wonderful women she brought with her to work with my party we’re extremely talented and extremely professional in themselves. Looking back, I would not change one thing about my hair or makeup, or the entire experience with Monique, the owner of Resilient Beauty.
